I love that moment in language learning when you learn a word purely through context and then it keeps coming up in almost every media you consume in that language. Every time this happens I'm like -
#my most recent example of this is the phrase あるいは#i first came across it while reading#a short story by Haruki Murakami#since then i've heard it in more than a couple of podcast episodes#i also remember coming across it in a tadoku graded reader#it's fun#to learn words in context#and getting to recognise them in various forms of media#nihongo rambles#日本語#langblr#japanese#the joy of language learning
