Fabric Issues: No#1 Filamented Soft Crepe

One of the most essential facts in a niqab is that the fabric’s being breathable and comfortable.

We have investigated many fabrics for our customers and we have chosen the most breathable fabrics that we could find with the softest textures in order to make our customers’ face comfortable during their niqab experience.

Filamented soft crepe fabric is one of the our fabric choices that we use for the niqabs. We prefer to use this fabric in all of our one layered niqabs. Also it is used in the first layer (which covers the face except the eyes) of the two layered black niqabs and in the first layer (which covers the face except the eyes) of the three layered black niqabs.

You might ask why we use it only in black color in two and three layered niqabs. But a better question would be why we do not use this fabric for other bright colors.

Filamented soft crepe is mostly produced in dark colours and the match of the dark colors with the fabrics used in second and third layer for the purpose of covering fully face is not very easy thing to do. For example if you use burgundy colored filamented soft crepe fabric for the first layer of the niqab, it is nearly impossible to find a softy textured chiffon-like fabric in the same color for the second layer of the niqab.

As a result of this, we wanted to use this fabric only in black color of the two and three layered niqabs since there would be no color differences by doing so. And we have choosen another beautiful fabric -multi chiffon- for the two and three layered colored niqabs in which we could experience no color differences between the layers.

Let’s return back to filamented soft crepe.

“Filamented” in textile terms, means the fabric which has ben weaved with many threads in its form. So, a filamented fabric is a fabric which is formed by many threads an due to its weaving form and looseness it has many spaces between the threads. And this quality makes the filamented fabric a breathable fabric.

For these reasons mentioned in the above, it is one of the fabrics that we would like to use for our niqabs in any season and occasion.

When we hold the filamented soft crepe towards the light, all the details can be seen through the fabric even though this fabric is not used for full layer - which means it is not used for the purpose of a full covering including the eyes- yet it could have been used for such a purpose too. The best part is, it doesn’t show any little detail of your face through the fabric.

This means much breeze and more air in a comparison to light and unqualified fabric.

There might be days that you have to eat in the outside. You can eat so easily in outdoors with this fabric since it doesn't show the inside of the niqab yet the stains can be hidden due to solid colors and its weaved texture.

As to cleaning it, we suggest hand wash for long wearing and being sure of the stains and dirt is carefully removed.

Machine wash wouldn't destroy the fabric but there might be cases that it might not be cleaned in the machine as you wished for since the product is not very big and can be hidden under the other clothes. -This is experienced sometimes-

Also side stitches would be better protected by hand wash.
