Okay, so, Paul Kennedy, who is the in-studio host for the Lightning, has lost most of his accent, but it still pops up sometimes when there's an a at the end of a name. So when he says "Nikita", it comes out "Nikeeter"
And Kuch is Nikeeter 1 because there used to be two Nikitas here. (Kucherov and Nesterov) and they were sort of like Thing 1 and Thing 2. (See this) .
And I've just never changed Kuch's tag.
PS. - Don't forget to put Sage and Ginger down for a nappy! 😂
