Ran 5.04Ā km with #Nikeā #Run Club, my own personal #MemorialDay #5k. Not nearly as fast as I hoped. I went out a little too fast, took a little too long to notice and correct. Ended up not getting the negative split I was looking for. At least I know the #NikeOdysseyReact can go fast! Yesterday's long run called for something shorter today, but I wanted to try pushing myself a little. Also, I wanted to see if I could get the Odysseys really moving. (They've been mostly my recovery shoes.) Hydration is still an issue, I think. In a race, it's easier - small water bottle for 10k and up, take race water or Gatorade at all offered stations. On long runs, I'll probably start taking the hydration pack. It's the shorter ones that are getting me. And, to the purpose of today: To those fallen (especially those who have died at home from the invisible war wounds inside themselves), requiescant in pace, and to those who grieve for them, I'm sorry for your loss.
