omg okay wait i have a lot fhjkdsah It’s a cop out to say the entirety of A Littlepiece, so I will just pull a bit from it that I really loved:
It works, for a time. Maybe a year, maybe two. But then the loneliness comes, crashing over him like a wave against the cliffs outside. It settles into his bones and winds its way like the sea breeze; through his skin, tying itself in a sailor’s knot around his heart. He braces himself against it--he knew it would come eventually--but he didn’t realize just how painful it was. The warnings from his father had been too abstract, too vague. They didn’t convey just how achingly hollow life would be on the island. Alone, with nothing but the seagulls and the endless, grey sea to keep him company.
I don’t know, I just really liked the way that this whole fic turned out and I sort of wish it got a little more attention, but also I get why it didn’t haha It is rather niche

19: Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe ‘too often’, trope you can’t get enough of?)
Yes, oh my god. There are so many metaphors and descriptions that I beat close to death but I can’t seem to get away from them regardless. Namely, I use way too many em dashes, and also the metaphor of a “string pulled taut”. I like it but like,,,,I gotta find something new haha
6: What character do you have the most fun writing?

Listen, I sort of fell in love with him while writing In Earnest and I just really, truly enjoy writing for the dude. Like there’s just something about him that I really enjoy. But if we’re going to go more specific like actual character, then I am having a lot of fun writing the side characters in The Dream Circus just ‘cause,,,they’re fun to play with haha
