Well I wouldn’t mind Zendaya playing her or someone else, Alexandra Shipp is just a horrible actress. Drumline 2 and the reviews from Aaliyah should have been proof
Zendaya playing a dark skin woman still contributes to colorism and erasure . I like her too, but she like Shipp, has no business playing a dark skinned black/African woman.
Plenty of dark skinned black actresses that could not only out act Shipp, but also look the part. Which in this case should be treated as seriously as their acting ability.
