Certainly, one of my most favourite women & action photos, but the back story is enlightening. Jama BinEdward is not only a remarkable athlete but an exemplary role model. Jama was one of TRC Academy’s first signed players. She came into the prep program humble, modest, with great energy & discipline. When the team started its exposure play stateside, Jama’s grind was astounding to several NCAA scouts. The Wolfpack depended on Jama for leadership in residence, courtside and gameplay. A woman who knows what she wants is a very invigorating. Because Jama continued her recruiting in Canada and the USA, she chose the best post-secondary option for her future. Jama always knew she wanted to be an immigration lawyer and Ryerson had one of the best basketball programs. The marriage between her career ambition with a talented basketball squad completes her journey when she signs her letter of intent. In her freshman year, the TRC Wolfpack have had an opportunity to see our alumna in action. I love this photo because it represents the power of a challenge to ultimately be successful.
