niklaxs liked for a motherfucking starter
Dahlia looked the man up and down, before finally a knowing look graced her features.
"----ah, you must be Niklaus. I was wondering just how long it would be until I finally met you."
niklaxs
Exhausted; but then when was she not these days?! She had sworn she would help with the wolves and, long after things turned sour between Olivia and Klaus, she had remained true to her word. It was not so much due to lingering feelings or blinded hope, but not unlike Elijah, she kept her promises. She simply wished he had informed her as to how time consuming it was. Regardless, she stuck to her end of the deal. What was not part of said deal was having to deal with his foul mood at the end of the day. Yes, she was rash to assume he would only seek her when he was spiteful.
. ❝ I don't have the energy to fight right now, Klaus. ❞
But, knowing the Original hybrid as she did, he would demand she find the energy to do just that.
niklaxs said: This could look like a Caroline x marcel baby tho like ugh. ( ok don’t mind me totally fangirling here, I can’t help it. )
Is this you offering me a caroline? >DDD
"It’s not you. It’s me… I’m completely fucked up."

If he had expected her to deny that simple fact... no, Klaus knew she wouldn't. Olivia had suffered, first hand, what happened to those who attempt to win over his own insanity. And, oh, she knew he was crazy, knew he had a lust for blood & power that would always override any desire towards or somehow involving her. It was a losing battle, to fight that; it was in his nature, how he was built. At the very least, that was what she convinced herself of to prevent another pathetic scene on her end. If he needed saving, he clearly did not want it. And she would no longer degrade herself in offering to help him in any way. But, if nothing else, at least he knew that he was broken. But what did that mean exactly, in practical terms? Where did they stand in the mist of all this chaos?
❝ We're all fucked up. ❞
“Just because we can’t be friends doesn’t mean we aren’t.”
Lost in the depths of her twisted mind, Liv had failed to notice she was no longer alone. Not that it came as a surprise to her any longer. Klaus had a way of creeping up on her that it no longer caused her to have a heart attack. Still, tonight was somewhat different in comparison to others. They had returned from the town he had been hiding out for months now and had been in New Orleans for a little more than a few weeks. Klaus had been avoiding her and she allowed him to do as much. Elijah kept her updated and she convinced herself it was enough.
It was not.
But she gave him the room she believed he needed, permitted Klaus to get settled in and return to his plots and schemes of taking over a city that was once his; the same town that was hit by intensive bad weather. The wolves that had been banned from the Quarter by Marcel sought refugee at the local church, that was now run by another father, a human priest frightened and manipulated by Marcel. But Liv could be just as stubborn and after pushing the man up against a wall and delivering one heavy threat, he agreed to help the wolves so long as she did not sell him out. A deal was made. And now, the brunette found herself smuggling in blankets and food supplies. Not that she believed Marcel would ever target her.
The wolves were important to Klaus. She wasn't necessarily sure why; if they were simply more players in a chess game or if it was something more important, more meaningful than that. She hoped for the second; was the reason she was so reluctant to leave them to fend for themselves when she could easily assist them. At least for the time being.
His voice caused Liv to stop in her tracks, heartbeat hitching and her eyes fluttered closed as if by doing such she could make the moment last a little longer. It would not. Soon the wolves would wake or the priest would return; perhaps other volunteers would arrive; people who were unaware of the influence of the full moon over these people.
❝ I know. ❞
A hushed reply given, as to not awaken any of those surrounding them and while Liv could feel his hot breath against her neck, knew he was standing right behind her, she did not turn around, knew he would be gone in a matter of seconds. And when the light breeze danced around her petite figure, she knew he had left.
“Champagne okay?”
Liv had barely made it past the entrance, frowning slightly when she found that, for once, Klaus had found his way to her home without her requesting as much. The first thought to penetrate her mind was the assumption of the worse: an attack. Klaus always sought her out when things turned sour, when she was a target. Yet, the closer she got to him, the longer she studied the original hybrid, the more she realized he was rather calm. That was... odd.
Eyebrows lifted as she set her bag down, shrugging off her jacket before joining Klaus in the dinning room. She said nothing but was certain he had heard her even before she had unlocked her front door. For a while now, she knew he kept track on her by listening out for her heartbeat. Somehow he was really good at that. Whether he practiced this when she slept or not, she never asked but assumed it to be so.
A smile - that leaned towards a smirk - graced his handsome features as he looked up from the crystal glasses to face her and Liv couldn't help but wonder why it was he was being so... unlike himself. She knew he cared. That wasn't at stake. But Klaus did not display his emotions as most people did. More often than not, their version of foreplay involved screaming the house down and smashing each other's favorite objects before carelessly ripping the clothes off their bodies. Whatever this was... it was definitely not routine.
His question was met with apprehension but when the young man offered her the filled glass, Liv did not object. She merely... hesitated.
❝ So your plan is to drunken me... --- why? Do I not lack enough inhibitions as it is? ❞
YOU KNOW WHEN THERE'S SOMEONE YOU LOVE THAT YOU HAVEN'T TALKED TO IN LIKE four days perhaps but it feels like its longer and you just feel like your life is complete again because you're talking to this person?
Well I'm talking to Ida right now.
