Secret Shanghai:

Silas. We really only see his mom, but it does seem like both of his parents are good and happy and present in his life (as well as Phoebe and Orion's, I'd assume)

Benedikt. We know nothing about them except that they died when he was 5 and were presumably religious. I choose to believe they were good parents for my and his sanity.

Marshall. Obviously his dad is evil, but it seems like he was very close with his mom before she died.

Katherina. Romajuliette are obviously the best parents. We could probably include Alisa here too, because from what we see, Roma was the one actually raising her. We literally never see Lord Montagov interact, or even mention his daughter.

Oliver. Best cat dad ever (tho ofc this is Fanon)

Flesh and False Gods:

I mean, Calla seems like a good cat mom, but otherwise that's it.

Coldwire (SPOILERS AHEAD):

Rayna/Miz. She's close with her mom, but Chloe confirmed to me that she will be dealing with some parent stuff in Lukewarmwire. (presumably with her bio parents?)

Kieren, Hailey, & Blare: Their mom seems ugh, but their dad literally took a job as principal just to be close with them? To spend more time with them? Because he loved him? And Nile Corp literally indisposed him for it because they were afraid he'd spill secrets? The painnnnn

I really enjoyed being a part of NileCorp for the last weeks, but I am happy to finally break character and say how excited I am to hold Coldwire in my hands now and finally begin to comprehend the different aspects of this madness. I have only read 3 chapters so far, but I already adore it! So excited to discuss it as we all start to finish it!

I would also like to thank @chloegong for the opportunity to participate in this campaign. It really meant a lot to be a part of it, especially as someone with a relatively small following on a platform that is not necessarily mainstream. Thank you!

I’m delighted to announce that I have left my dumb fast food job and accepted a higher-level, higher-paying job at NileCorp. I have been with this company since I was 15, and am so happy to be advancing my career with this amazing company. My first directive in my new role in the marketing department under Alisa Montagova, along with many others on various social media platforms, is to start promoting our Branch Head, @chloegong’s, November release, Coldwire, under the marvelous direction of our COO, lord, and savior, Lord Mao Mao.

In all seriousness, I am so honored to be apart of this campaign for Coldwire. I have loved her books since I was fifteen, and Foul Heart Huntsman especially got me through a very dark time in my life. It is forever cemented as my favorite book, favorite series of all time, with my favorite characters of all time.

It also opened up a whole new world for me in terms of representation. I’m aspec, and getting to read about three well developed, iconic, deeply human, utterly joyful characters who were like me is an indescribable feeling.

Lastly, My love of these books also gave me the people on this website. It gave me Quinn and Cal and Alice and Dawn and Mars. It gave me Cordelia, who is about as dear to me as my irl best friends.

Anyway, thank you so much Chloe! Sorry this got mushy, I (un)fortunately do not speak corporate lingo.
