2. HAVE YOU EVER: Dated someone twice: Yes. Actually, four times. Long story. Been cheated on: He says no. I have my suspicions. There was, at the least, overlap. Kissed someone and regretted it: Never. Lost someone special: I’m almost middle-aged. I’ve lost a lot of people to death, to time, and to mutual stupidity. And many of them were special. Been depressed: Sporadically, since I was 12. Been drunk and threw up: Drunk, several times. But I’ve only thrown up once.
3. LIST THREE FAVORITE COLORS: Black, deep purple, and blood red.
4. LAST YEAR, HAVE YOU: Made a new friend: Yes, a few! Fallen out of love: No. Have to be in it to fall out of it. Laughed until you cried: I do that any time I’m with my siblings or my mom (and we’re all in good moods, lol). Met someone who changed you: Yes, for better and worse. Found out who your true friends are: No, sadly, I learned that lesson years ago. Which is why I keep my inner circle small. Found out someone was talking about you: No. But I’m sure someone was.
5. GENERAL: How many people on your FB friends list do you know in real life? If they’re my friend, I know them. Why would I be friends with someone I don’t know?
6. FIRSTS: First Surgery: I’ve never had surgery. *knock on wood* First piercing: My ears when I was a couple of months old. Took 30 years before I got the second one—my nose. First best friend: Issei, a little Japanese boy that lived on my street. We went through elementary school and one year of junior high together. Just as our seventh grade year came to an end (and after he’d just gotten his first girlfriend, Takako,), he and his parents moved back to Japan.
First sport you joined: T-ball in the local Little League.
First vacation: Most likely Mexico. We live only a few hours from the border and every summer until I was 10 we took my grandma back to her hometown, Ocotlán, for a week. First pair of trainers: No clue.
7. RIGHT NOW: Eating: I just finished a bowl of Apple Jacks (it’s 10:45am). Drinking: Nothing yet. I’m about to: Take some pain meds for this dang migraine I have. Waiting for: This year to hurry up and go by. I got someplace to be by the end of the summer.
8. YOUR FUTURE: Want kids: Perhaps. IDK. The older I get the less I’m sure I want them. Get married: Maybe. As my brother told me at Disneyland after the New Year, “The question isn’t, are you going to get married? It’s, are you gonna marry a boy or a girl?” My bro gets me. Career: Something in the film industry. And perhaps writing on the side. Or thisismegregory's media person.
9. WHICH IS BETTER: Lips or eyes: Depends on the eyes and the lips. Hugs or kisses: I admit, I’m a kissing whore. I love kissing. Shorter or taller: I’ve had shorter. I’d like to try taller. Older or younger: I don’t care. It’s the right amount of maturity I’m looking for. Romantic or spontaneous: Spontaneously romantic? Nice stomach or nice arms: I don't care. Not too muscle-y. A little cushion doesn't bother me, though. Sensitive or loud: Not too much of either, thanks. Hook-up or relationship: Relationship. Trouble-maker or hesitant: A happy medium betwixt the two.
10. HAVE YOU EVER: Kissed a stranger: Yes. But, to be fair, she was a new brother in the fraternity connected with my sorority. So she wasn’t a stranger for long. Drank hard liquor: It’s what I prefer. I don’t do beer. Lost glasses/ contacts: Sunglasses, yes. I don’t wear reading glasses or contacts. Sex on first date: Can I get a date first? LOL. Then we'll see... Broke someone’s heart: No, sadly, I’m always the one left with a broken heart. Which is why it's so black now. Arrested: No. Turned someone down: Once. But he looked like a serial killer, so I feel I just dodged a particularly creepy bullet. Cried when someone died: Many times. Fallen for a friend: LOL…story of my life.
11. DO YOU BELIEVE IN: Yourself: Of course! If I don’t, who will? Miracles: Yes. Love at first sight: Yes, but I’m reasonably skeptical, too. Heaven: Yes. Santa Claus: I believe in the spirit of Santa. But I’ve known since I was 4 it was my mother signing the gifts. Woman couldn’t even attempt to disguise her writing, lol. Kiss on the first date: Yes, please. Angels: Yes. I have a friend who has proof of her guardian angel.
