This is my favorite set of Dunmeshi panels I think. The way Izutsumi curls her tail around Laois a little bit, and how she hides behind him making it look like he has kitty ears. Cute character moment, very cute visuals. 10/10

now thats a lot of stuff that happened in that arc hopefully they make the season longer? because chroma conclave arc was like 3x the length of briarwoods arc?
rose quartz/pink diamond has really, REALLY shaped up to be the perfect foil to steven imo.... throughout the show, steven has had to continuously face his problems head-on and face repercussions of his actions, whether they were done with his intent or not. he faces the emotional baggage and complications both with himself as rose’s son and his problems with other people.
rose/pink ran from her old life as a diamond by faking her own death, became a new person who got to serve as this martyr in the eyes of other common gems “like her” (and also kind of ran from the truth of her identity, choosing to be someone else so that she could be a hero hailed as being a common quartz grown right in the earth), bubbled bismuth away when they reached a disagreement rather than tackling their problems together and literally left that can of worms for steven to have to re-open thousands of years later, and left the crystal gems behind, leaving her responsibilities once again to steven (i don’t think her having him was a wholly selfish or malicious decision, but it still left a loot of responsibility and emotional anguish for everyone she cared about)
all this being said i think rose/pd is a really, REALLY great character who is very thought out and has lots of good qualities i just. think that the difference between how she deals with things versus how steven does is very apparent and very staggering.

here’s some discourse: why has criticism of steven universe moved from reasonable criticism of actual harmful things within the show that need to be acknowledged -> everything about it is bad and i don’t see how people still enjoy it -> hey guys let’s tear apart the animation just because... lol
