VERY interested in this! (especially the edit feature) Will the old site go down when it's released? Also do you plan on having users log in to post messages? I know part of the appeal on the original site is how easy it is to jump right in

My intention is to have a pretty gradual migration away from the old site. I’m thinking I’ll do it in four stages

new site’s open beta

allow opt-in migration from the old site to the new one (with the option to reverse it if things break.)

disable new RP creation on the old site; the new site is the new default for everything

eventually migrate everything to the new site when i’m very sure it’s safe, close down the old site for good (but keep a backup just in case)

as for logins? honestly the no-login approach is probably the main appeal of rpnow so it’d be pretty stupid of me to force logins. if anything I want to make it EASIER to jump right in so yeah.

optional accounts will probably be added at some point, which would let you do things like keep track of all your RP’s and give you more moderation abilities over the RP’s you create. But it’ll never be mandatory
