Happily she leaned into the kiss, when they parted she breathed "I love you too, so very much, Matthias" she did in fact love him more than she loved waffles, a high honor when it came to Nina. She melted into him as he wrapped his arms around her, she would spend the rest of her days like this if she had her way, in the arms of the man she loves with her whole person.
"Good-- I would be a terrible Fjerdan wife, but I think I will be quite good at being your wife" she grinned when she pulled back, eyes still filled with tears she held out her hand, wanting him to put her ring on her now. "I'm wonderful" Nina never expected to fall in love with him when they first met and when they were reunited she had even less hope. But despite everything they had come back together and now they could work towards their happily ever after.

"You seem far too sweet to be mixed up in all of this-- however did you end up tied to Kaz?" Not that she was one to speak, but she was curious as to how someone as sweet as him ended up as a crow.
@grimmusings Matthias & Nina
"Have you decided if you still hate me or not?" Nina had never been known for her tact, or patience, in fact she was known for being blunt and headstrong. So after weeks of walking on eggshells, which was longer than any of the crows thought she would make it, she slammed herself down in the seat across from him with a look that could only be described as half crazed and determined. She would have her happy ending, she was tired of waiting for it, after all of the fighting and clawing to get here, she wanted answers.
She kept her eyes on his, trying to read his face for any tells, any indicator that he might be close to forgiving her, she prayed he was close to forgiving her. Everything she had done had been to keep him safe, but that didn't mean she didn't hurt him in the process, she had seen he hell he lived in while locked up.

"You are far too pretty to look so annoyed, dove" Nina greeted, back at the Little Palace between missions, she like many often had to bend to the Tsar's whims and when he summoned them they came. Sometimes she suspected he used them to keep the normal people in line, a show of power, to remind people who he commanded, but she could be wrong. The visit had been pointless and now she was back, however while she was here, she might as well have her fun too, so she smiled flirtily at the other woman, carefully pulling off her travel gloves.

"Some of them, yes" Nina replied after a long pause, it wasn't something she liked to think about, her time on the ship. Somehow she knew it would have been worse if Matthias wasn't so moral, but he wasn't always there to protect her. "Other's are much older, from my first few missions" she pulled her dress on before she turned to look at Inej, giving her a bright, but forced smile "don't worry about me, sweetling-- I'm all better now."

Nina all but collapsed into the chair, she had done well to slow the bleeding until she got back to HQ, but now-- well now it was presenting an issue. Kaz's voice was starting to sound further and further away, like she was underwater. "Somehow they knew we were coming, lots of guns and knives" her once blue dress was now almost black and soaked through with blood, both her own and other's. She felt very tired, her head tilted back as her eyes started to droop.

"How long do you plan on ignoring me, Matthias-- I have screamed I am sorry till I am blue in the face. In the moment it seemed like the only way to keep you alive" Nina wished she had seen another way out, but they were surrounded and the other Grisha wanted him dead for kidnapping her. She didn't have time to explain and even if she could have-- they would have killed them both, her for desertion, him for taking her. It was frustrating-- she understood why he hated her, why he looked at her so coldly now, but it hurt, it hurt more than any cut ever could.
Now here she was, standing in front of him without bars keeping them apart, so close to crying again. He was right there, something she had been dreaming about for a very long time, but she couldn't touch him. "Please--" she tried again, her voice broken.
