My opinion changed on this model. I’ve thought it could’ve been better, but this set won me over while building this. Yes, some builds feel weak, and may fall apart when taking off a roof or deck, but this is a 14+ set, and not one you’ll give to a kid.
Each section is made with love, and all comes together with its crazy side haul build. I highly, highly recommend getting this if you got space & cash. A big shame this is an only place to get Zane. LEGO needs to be better on that. And sails needs prints on both side.
Now in terms of concept art and series. I still wished we got this darker version that was in the concept art. Tv series did a nice job, but they reused a past model as a base model, I wished they went all in.
In the end, epic ship. Mad respect for the set designer Markus Rollbühler.
