Born in a small town in North Carolina, Nina grew up with two loving parents who doted on her every need. She was loved and well cared for, and an only child. In many ways, her childhood was perfect, something out of a storybook. With her dad being the head sheriff in town, almost everyone knew her name and her mother, a kind woman named Elizabeth, was also well known for her delicious bakery items and heartwarming comments. It appeared as if her life couldn’t get any better, and as she aged, she was sure it wouldn’t. It wasn’t until she reached High School that she began to learn about the harsh cruelties of the world. Their twisted shadows racing into her life and delivering out all the light.
The death of her father came during her senior year, she had been at a football game when the news hit in the form of whispered voices on the field. She had been a cheerleader and was left in the dark until her coach had pulled her aside. It had seemed everyone knew but she, and all their eyes were watching, waiting for the response of Nina. It broke her heart losing her father, all due to a car accident on his drive back into town. But what hurt worse was the rumors that began just months after his death, the story shifting from the cause being exhaustion to perhaps the sheriff had been drinking. One too many bottles and he had found himself flying off the railings and into the trees just off to the side of the road. It was horrible to hear, and the more she tried to keep these rumors from her mother, the more it appeared she failed. The summer after her senior year, Nina had decided to give up her college dreams, postponing them in an attempt to help her mother get over her depression. Somehow her perfect life had turned upside down, and everything she had once known was gone. But when her mother encouraged her to follow her dreams and attend college, assuring her she’d be fine, Nina reluctantly agreed and picked up her life to move to New York City, where she’d attend school there.
Luckily, it seemed the big city was just what Nina needed, giving herself the chance to reinvent herself, and put all the horrors of her small town behind her. No one knew her here, and no one cared to either, and she found that beautiful. The pressures she had once felt seemed miles away now with each passing day, and her new life was unfolding perfectly. She was making friends, even meeting new romantic connections, and it was thrilling. As if she had forgotten what it was like to truly live, and now she was back in the game. It was during school that she met her best friend Marissa Diaz, the two becoming roommates even though she was a couple years older than herself. They shared similar passions, and their personalities clicked, and some days, Nina felt as if they were more like sisters than friends. But when suddenly Marissa began to pull away, she questioned what had happened to her friend and after pressing for information, she discovered that Marissa had given up her college lifestyle for something a little more sinful.

Becoming a pornstar was not something Nina had ever dreamed of doing, but when Marissa suggested it, even encouraged her to do it, she trusted her friend not to lead her in the wrong direction. So she agreed, starting off small and find that though it was a completely different lifestyle, she didn’t shy away from it. Maybe it was because she was good at it, the response she was earning giving her faith. But either way, Nina dove in head first after Marissa, and when Marissa moved over to Sweet Kiss officially, she had no problems following her there. They were like family after all, and family stuck together. The only absurd part was when interest began to grow for their little production company, and Nina was taken even deeper into the world.

Pornstar was one thing, but becoming a prospect in a gang? Now that was too far for Nina, but here she was because, in many ways, she hadn’t a choice. It seemed if the Devils wanted something, they very often got it, and she wasn’t one to say no. But still, many days she is left wondering if she’ll ever be able to part ways with the gang, or if this is the life she was assigned to live. There’s even a part of her that misses that little small town she left, and how easy life had been for her there. Although she knows she can’t go back, and like all things she does, Nina has thrown herself in completely. It was on one fateful night though that she looked in the mirror, and thought she wasn’t good enough. It hit like a pile of bricks, and her mind hasn’t been right since then. The bulimia started shortly after that, and she hasn’t told anyone, knowing that if they did, they’d sure send her off to some rehab. So she keeps the secret to herself, hoping she can act as if everything is normal.
■ Alicia Lopez: Truth be told, out of everyone she’s met in the club, she has the highest respect for Alicia. Something about the woman just seems so proud, but still controlled and respectable. It makes Nina wonder that if she can ever get out of the porn game if maybe she can be more like Alicia.
■ Kevin Walsh: Nina has heard some of the music he has produced, and impressed is an understatement. She is a pretty big fan of his, and it helps that he’s also pretty cute.
■ Foster Richman: Due to her association with the club, as well as her job, she has seen Foster around. But something about him rubs her wrong, and she can’t seem to decide if he’s a good guy or not. Maybe it’s because he sells drugs, or maybe it’s for another reason, Nina has yet to decide.
