“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity…”
It all happened on a bridge, their lives changed in that exact spot in that exact moment; they didn’t knew it then, but he was her salvation and she was his closure.
Lenny didn’t have a tormentous past, her life changed the day she lost all she had and care for. She knew that with her anxiety, she couldn’t think of surviving alone, until that night in the bridge when he was there as well.
Kevin’s past was a real struggle for me to read, he did have reasons beyond understanding to hate the world, and how life decided to turn its back on him, yet the moment he saved Lenny, he got closure to all that tormented him; and began a path of freedom.
T.M. Frazier is one of the best; her stories are so intense, you really get lost while reading; her characters never disappoint, they are the perfect match for each other and I love that every story is so well told that you truly need all those details from past to truly begin to understand what the characters are living in that moment.
