@alkasden
Sometimes I worry that just being a writer isn't good enough anymore. Like any good writer also has to be a good artist to get any sort of traction.
It's so exhausting to draw again even if I feel I'm good at it. Perhaps I will try to get back into art but at a slower pace.
With that and my ambition to get into VR performance (once I can manage to afford FBT), I do hope I'm not taking on too much. Job applications haven't exactly been great with no callbacks in months either.
Just going to keep positive. Try not to think about the luxury of time running out.
So, I've recently tried the whole VR full-body setup that is just 4 joycons and then your phone at your hip using the SlimeVR software (cause I'm too poor right now to get SlimeVR or HaritoraX). It is so much effort and messes up so easily. It's great for like very subtle movements and if you like hitting yaw reset every 5 seconds, but yeaaah. Ugh, just going to have to save up to drop the 400 on HaritoraX someday (cause good luck getting SlimeVR this year). When I eventually do get FBT working I'll be working on some video content with it in my journey to learning how to VR dance in VRChat. However, if anyone knows how to make joycons + phone at least a /little/ more useable and not having to yaw reset literally at the slightest movement, feel free to lemme know. Using standable with it makes it only a tiny bit more stable, but not really useable for dancing.
Updates...
So, I've been away from social media and having an online presence for quite a while now. It has been nice, but my passion for writing and drawing and now also VR endeavors has blossomed to the point I feel okay to get back out. It has been quite a ride these few years coming to live with my grandpa again with my parents while being in my late 30s and having to really take care of all three of them. So much time has gone into it and not even a job could be gotten at times with just the mess of it all. Here recently I have done my best to get back on my feet, get back into creative means while also starting a new retail job to be my main source of income. I do eventually want to do more on here with commission work to make enough side money to be able to support myself beyond being just my parent's caretaker the rest of my life. As good as they have been to me, I honestly do not think I even have lived being their caretaker for all of my life until now, soon reaching 40 before I know it and never even gotten out of the box. I'm ready to get out of that box more, to do at least a little more before I get too old. Look forward to seeing that. <3
Starting back up!
Here I am again doing my best to get back into creating art and fanfictions. I also will be dipping into VRChat content and texture making as I get more equipment to do so. Until then, look forward to occasional art and bits of fanfiction of some fandoms I've fallen into recently. I have also opened up a Ko-Fi in anticipation of eventually opening up small commission work for both writing and drawing. For now, commissions are closed, but anyone is welcome to support me meanwhile.
