"Well now, who do we have here? Hello there, welcome to Kyrat. My wonderous kingdom. If there's everything you need, I will provide."
Continuation of this greeting with @ninevoltcolt here:
The puppy gets closer to River to give him a couple sniffs. Tail wagging and a woof of hello given as Adelha chuckles to then kneel down so she and River are more at eye level. “What a unique name. It is a genuine pleasure to meet you. If it is easier for you to say, you may call me Delly.”
Wesson soon moves to be right in front of River. Giving him more sniffs and the occasional lick of that pink tongue. Adelha smiling sweetly at the little boy to ask River, “Tell me. How old are you, River?”

Hmm, curious. Something was obviously wrong with the Worm even if it was moving and, on closer inspection, still alive. Whatever has happened to it is clearly damaged it beyond what it should live through though its not something that the Hive has ever seen before. Brought by the humans, no doubt. And yet another strike against them.
Zazie runs their fingers over the back of the Worm then rubs them together, frowning at the liquid oozing from the creature. Nothing about this was adding up, nothing was familiar or felt right. There was some sort of communication going on but Zazie certainly couldn't understand any of it.
Some kind of parasite? Something hitching a ride on the Worm and feeding off of it? The crystals and ooze were strange and different from any sort of fungus or other creature the Hive had dealt with before. They cast their senses out to check if any other Worm in the vicinity had been infected. They'd have to gather any of them up by hand and keep them from the rest of the Hive.
Maybe they could take them to Conrad? But what were they risking if they allowed him to get his hands on their kind? He'd already proven perfectly capable of destroying his own.
"It's always something new with humans, isn't it?"

The feeling of the strange organism wrapping around his finger was a surprise to Vash. He hadn’t expected it to feel tangible and yet not at the same time. A small smile tugged at his lips as he watched the little organism wiggle around on his finger. “Well you’re new, aren’tcha? You seem harmless. Did you come in off the worms?” He was still not quite sure what this thing was, but it was alive to some degree.
Glancing around, he noticed more of the little organisms flying around him now. “Friendly little guys, huh?” he laughed softly, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you. And if you’re keeping the plant company...I’m sure they appreciate it.” He looked back down at the one on his finger, not at all bothered by it. They seemed entirely harmless.
At first appearance, they would seem to be the soft orbs of light emitted by Plants after they had been adjusted by Vash, hovering around the outside of the Plant's containment.
Upon closer inspection, however, Vash would see shapes in the small cloud of orbs and pinpricks. Odd shapes, floating, swirling, and undulating in the air, as if they were alive, the largest one no bigger than the pad of Vash's thumb. A soft noise was filling the air, like bells whispering to each other, inaudible to human ears.
Vash had just taken a quick look at this town's plant while he was passing through. Anywhere he could help he would, though, the plant was healthy now, he knew it would need a routine check. "I'll try and come back. I promise..." he whispered to the plant behind the glass. Peering in at the coiled form, a soft smile on his face.
Finally, the Independent stepped back from the plant, taking in the room and the soft glowing orbs. Though, confusion quickly filtered onto his face as he noticed something else among the floating orbs. Specs of something. Were they worms?
He watched them with a certain curiosity. Vash had never seen something like these specs in all his time healing plants. Maybe it was a mutation of some kind. Maybe the plants were adapting?
Whatever it was felt different. He could hear the soft ringing, and curiously, he reached out to touch one of those strange shapes.
