Basically, it’s that the framework for Black Butler (major character parallels, plot parallels, and the timeline) come from the Nintendo game Mother3 (with added content from Mother and Mother2). It’s the game that is parodied (visually) in chapters 1, 3, and 4 as “Mouse3” by “Ninkyodo”.
