Claude: “--how you got out here in the first place. Robin’s not gonna let me hear the end of this... Then again, nor’d Bianca if it knew I was helping you. So let’s maybe just keep this to ourselves.”
Radley: “--kind of pretty. Do you think she’d mind if-?”
Mercury: “I, I don’t know. Nevada’s pretty scary. I mean, she was a captain of a military! She’s fought all sorts of things. What if she gets mad at you even trying to talk to her?”
Radley: “Ah-ha, w-well. I suppose we’ve both faced scarier. M-much scarier. N-not that I’m scary enough for her to, to, face, to compare with the - the scare-the, what.”
Mercury: “...Okay, Radley.”
... No. He’s not here. Again.
They walk back to their car, still unsure after a week if Maus’ absence ‘this time’ is good or bad.
