REG = Reactionary Exclusionist Gatekeeper, someone who is generally inside of a community but tries to exclude people from it because they don’t meet certain standards
in the case of queer/LGBTQIAP+/MOGAI communities, REGs may be people who think ace/aro people are “invading” the community and are just special snowflakes who are making up an entire orientation and experiences with oppression, and/or they may be people who complain about certain multi (bi/pan/ply/omni/etc.) people having “straight passing privilege”, and/or they may complain about nonbinary people “making up too many words” and being “cis girls who want to be oppressed”, and/or they may believe that being trans is just a fetish, trying to escape from privilege accountability, or trying to escape from oppression... and so on
