Anyone think about the correlation between Casey Hartley and December Holiday? Two characters that haunt the narrative in ways where there's just this empty space where they should be, their lietmotif playing consistently in many songs.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR NIGHT IN THE WOODS

I'm watching a nitw playthrough and I just realized they foreshadowed Casey's death in the fucking tutorial. Mae after falling into a small ditch says "I'm not going to die in this hole". It feels like a fairly insignificant line but in a lot of ways it shows so much of what nitw is about along with Casey's character. Holy hell

He wants to go to a more progressive liberal area, instead of the small town in the midwest he grew up in? trans as fuck man
