Maybe Pseudo is too Harsh... Nah.
While at a pseudo Christian bookstore, I counted 7 shelves for NIV bibles, plus 2 more for NIV-like ones, maybe 6 devoted to NASB NKJV and KJV. I saw literally ONE copy (not shelf) of Tyndale's New Testament and ONE copy of the Genevan bible. To enjoy myself (please comment your dislike of this below!) I covered a few Eugene Peterson books he authored and hid them behind more biblically sound books (save for the message.. too numerous). (: PLEASE NOTE NIV2 is coming out soon:gender neutral and feminist friendly!-and there's a rumor the virgin birth is on slippery slopes, too. Oh and I couldn't find any of the authors I looked for on the shelves, thanks for rejecting certain Christian authors, but welcoming Bell, Mclaren, Osteen, and the like. I will now exclusively use HPB and Amazon. That is all. I almost bought a puppy today too. That might have made this whole above situation less depressing if that precious little sheltie would still be licking my face...
