#tehran #nivsultan #appletv #Shtisel An article from @kvellercom about the new show, Tehran, which launches on the AppleTV+ (@appletvplus) streaming service on September 25th and stars Niv Sultan (@sultaniv). The article, which I've added to the link in my bio, includes the official US trailer. A few notes: 1. This will be on AppleTV+, so not Netflix or Amazon Prime. Not everyone will sign up for another streaming service, but it is exciting that AppleTV is investing in Israeli TV. 2. Some people may have already watched the show in Israel or through the Sdarot website, but there are no subtitles in those mediums, so many of us will need to wait for the upcoming release. 3. If you have watched, feel free to comment with your general impressions, but no spoilers please! 4. I've only seen lead actress Niv Sultan in one other project [Season 2 of The Orpheus Project on Amazon Prime, i.e. Metim Lerega, which also stars Michael Aloni (@michaelaloni)], but she was mesmerizing in that. I'm excited to see her in this. There is a parallel drawn between her and Shira Haas in the article. #Repost @kvellercom • • • • • Lovers of Israeli TV, rejoice! A premiere date has been set for Tehran, the new show from Fauda lead writer Moshe Zonder. It’s considered one of the country’s most exciting and extravagant recent productions, featuring an all-star international cast and shot primarily in Farsi. The show was a huge international production. Shooting took place in Athens, where roads were reconstructed to look like the Iranian capital. Sultan, 27, is a true star. She’s haunting and mesmerizing as Tamar, who is suddenly stuck in the country she was born in — but Iran considers her an enemy. After her mission goes awry, Tamar discovers so much about the country of her childhood.
