grimmjow and ichigo are having a moment when suddenly the closet door slides open and rukias staring at them. its silent for a solid minute and rukias finally like “so anyway you guys got an extra blanket or should i check back later.” ichigo is screaming

           approaching the desolated clearing renji releases a loud exhale,  it was rare that he traveled without any of his siblings by his side  (nagging his choice of route,  yet never straying from his leadership)  he didn't like it,  albeit he was currently searching for one of them,  inevitably resting in the tree tops somewhere,  and he had every intent to disrupt her.

           the boys peripheral vision spots a small,  dangling foot amidst the leaves moments after he arrives,  a smile grows on his face just as quick,  how predictable.  immediately,  calloused hands rise to cup his mouth while his lungs fill till they couldn't.     ‘    RUKIA  !    ’     a pause;  only to show off a pouch he had brought with him.     ‘    get yer butt down here,  i brought food.    ’
