Q uiet. It’s too damn quiet right now. Typically, any time Alice had a hunt in the middle of any forest, there was at least some sort of noise. Whether it be leaves rustling in the soft gusts of wind, or the nocturnal animals making their sounds to show the world that they were there, the forest always spoke to her. Letting her know that, at least while she was there, she wasn’t too entirely alone.
A feeling of uneasiness would begin to shroud the woman, but it didn’t cloud her judgement nor her moves as she delicately continues her journey deeper in the woods. Backpack slung over her shoulder with her food and weapon supplies, the machete that she was using as her weapon of choice being clutched tightly in her grasp. Alice had been focused at this point to find the beast she’d been hunting -a troublesome wendigo- that at first she didn’t feel the presence.
I t wasn’t until a snap of a twig had come from behind Alice that she’d finally stopped thinking of the task at hand, and instead turned her attention back to the sound. Almost immediately feeling the presence of the stranger who had dared to follow her. The grasp on her machete growing tighter as she glances about, annoyance starting on her features.
‘ I know yer there, ‘ she speaks into the void, the sensation of the other growing stronger in her experienced being as she continues on. ‘ Come out or else ‘ll come find ya myself. ‘
