Bio
Ziga Repas was born in 2001 and he’s currently considered, in 2020, one of the most talented guys in NK Domzale. That’s why Matej Oražem, current Domzale director, has decided to renew his contract until 2021 and that’s why Ziga Repas has been promoted to Domzale first team where he currently played during 2019/2020 season for about 500 minutes. During season 2019/2020 he has also started to play in Europa League, during 1st qualification round against Balzan FC (both matches have been won by Domzale).
Scouting Report
I’ve seen Ziga Repas for the first time during Austria U19 - Slovenia U19, where I’ve also scouted Amir Feratovic, and after the match I think that the best word could define him is “complete”. During that match at the beginning of march 2020, Ziga Repas played as a central midfielder on left side in a 1-4-3-3 module used by Slovenia U19 in that match. Despite he played on left side, Ziga Repas is right footer and it seems could be in a quite right position: probably he loved to be free to move on the left side but I think it could be more interesting in a more offensive position like a central attacking midfielder. Off the Ball Ziga is a modern attacking midfielder: he’s really good in pressing on his opponents, he loves to run on attack in counterattack situations thanks also to a really interesting speed on the field without ball. What it’s really interesting is how Repas stayed on the field: he’s quite always in the right position, really focused on what he have to do and where he have to be. It’s difficult that he’s not on position where opponents passes on his zone on the field. Based on kind of player he is, I think that he’s really good off the ball. On The Ball As an attacking midfielder I supposed that Ziga Repas was really good on the ball and I’m right. He’s awesome in three key points. First of all in 1-to-1 situation: he loves to try to dribble his opponent directly and he won a lot of this situation; it seems not to much but have a player like Ziga Repas that allow to go with one more player on attacking situation is a great advantage in every single attacking phase. Another excellent quality of Repas is the first touch: by considering an international match that I saw and quality of the players I think I don’t remember an error on first touch with ball: this quality combined with his excellent vision allow Ziga to find out his team mates in short time with great precision. Thanks to his technique, he’s usually in charge for set pieces and he’s really good in short passed usually vertically or horizontally; if we’ve to find out an improvement he could work on I think that long passes, maybe on the opposite side of the field, is a good point to work on to become a complete midfielder in his position. Physics Speed, agility and acceleration are probably three of the most important qualities of Ziga Repas: he’s absolutely an unbreakable machine on the midfield: he always run up and down, left to right to cover and reach out all the offensive phases. Based on that I could also say that Ziga Repas has a great condition on the pitch during all the match.
