FIELD OF DREAMS. Bonifacio Elementary School is one of the farthest and poorest Barangay in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. It is about 15 km away from the town proper and is literally situated at the center of a vast rice field. Through the request of Teacher and newly appointed School Principal Mr. Carlo Mañalac, we visited the school and brought the much needed school books and references to help the kids and the teachers. These 2nd batch of books (the 1st in 2013) shall also initially fill the planned small library with the help of the parents and local officials in partnership with Books For A Cause. In this visit, we met John Paul Flores, a Grade 6 pupil who was born with no arms and yet makes his way to fulfill his simple dreams. Yes he is right-handed . . . Right footed! Please watch him write his name using the fingers of his right foot. I’ve scouted Nikolaos Giannakopoulos during a Greece Super League 1 match in November 2019 in an intense draw result by 0-0 between PAS Lamia and Panetolikos: an interesting match where Giannakopoulos achieve a clean sheet result thanks to some really good goalkeeping movement and by use his great experience inside goal area. Right footer, can play as well with different kind of modules without any kind of problem. Off The Ball Nikolaos Giannakopoulos has probably an important ability to find out the right position in the right moment: this ability allows Giannakopoulos to guide all the defensive line thanks to his experience in European leagues and his ability in languages. A good point of improvement could be the goal area control during set pieces where sometimes could be more aggressive to reach out the ball. On The Ball / Goalkeeping When Giannakopoulos is on the ball usually prefer to find out a long pass: he’s quite precise to find out a team mate by pass in the opponent field. This is a good point because he could allow his teammates to start an offensive phase from 30-35 meters and it’s a great point expecially in counter attack. When he’s in goalkeeping phase I can define him solid: he could be able to be sure on most of the shoot versus his goal but in diving save is where probably Nikolaos Giannakopoulos is the really strong.

Physics

Giannakopoulos is a strong player: he’s height (193 cm) makes him an impressive goalkeeper; one of the potential weak point based on tall goalkeeper (diving save) is one of his best attribute so this is probably one of the most important thing to keep in mind. Based on his experience Nikolaos is always concentrated, in every single phase of a match: great reflexes expecially when he need to be istintive against opponent’s strikers.

Contract Details

Nikolaos Giannakopoulos is under contract with Panetolikos until June, 30 2020 so he’s going to become free agent shortly. His agency is MK Sport Consulting. Ziga Repas was born in 2001 and he’s currently considered, in 2020, one of the most talented guys in NK Domzale. That’s why Matej Oražem, current Domzale director, has decided to renew his contract until 2021 and that’s why Ziga Repas has been promoted to Domzale first team where he currently played during 2019/2020 season for about 500 minutes. During season 2019/2020 he has also started to play in Europa League, during 1st qualification round against Balzan FC (both matches have been won by Domzale).

Scouting Report

I’ve seen Ziga Repas for the first time during Austria U19 - Slovenia U19, where I’ve also scouted Amir Feratovic, and after the match I think that the best word could define him is “complete”. During that match at the beginning of march 2020, Ziga Repas played as a central midfielder on left side in a 1-4-3-3 module used by Slovenia U19 in that match. Despite he played on left side, Ziga Repas is right footer and it seems could be in a quite right position: probably he loved to be free to move on the left side but I think it could be more interesting in a more offensive position like a central attacking midfielder. Off the Ball Ziga is a modern attacking midfielder: he’s really good in pressing on his opponents, he loves to run on attack in counterattack situations thanks also to a really interesting speed on the field without ball. What it’s really interesting is how Repas stayed on the field: he’s quite always in the right position, really focused on what he have to do and where he have to be. It’s difficult that he’s not on position where opponents passes on his zone on the field. Based on kind of player he is, I think that he’s really good off the ball. On The Ball As an attacking midfielder I supposed that Ziga Repas was really good on the ball and I’m right. He’s awesome in three key points. First of all in 1-to-1 situation: he loves to try to dribble his opponent directly and he won a lot of this situation; it seems not to much but have a player like Ziga Repas that allow to go with one more player on attacking situation is a great advantage in every single attacking phase. Another excellent quality of Repas is the first touch: by considering an international match that I saw and quality of the players I think I don’t remember an error on first touch with ball: this quality combined with his excellent vision allow Ziga to find out his team mates in short time with great precision. Thanks to his technique, he’s usually in charge for set pieces and he’s really good in short passed usually vertically or horizontally; if we’ve to find out an improvement he could work on I think that long passes, maybe on the opposite side of the field, is a good point to work on to become a complete midfielder in his position. Physics Speed, agility and acceleration are probably three of the most important qualities of Ziga Repas: he’s absolutely an unbreakable machine on the midfield: he always run up and down, left to right to cover and reach out all the offensive phases. Based on that I could also say that Ziga Repas has a great condition on the pitch during all the match.

Matko Matevz was born in 2001: he's an interesting prospect in Slovenia football and in 2020 has been called for Slovenia U19 National Team. Matevz plays as a right fullback but he's focused both on offensive phase and defensive one. With an huge experience in youth teams in Slovenia, with 12 caps between 2018 and 2020 (in U17, U18 and U19), what makes Matko an interesting prospect are his 15 caps in Prva Liga in season 2019/2020. Prva Liga is the first division in Slovenia and he plays, in this season, for NK Bravo: this team is the one where Matevz was born as a footballer and probably it's the best reward based on his age and experience on national and international fields.

Scouting Report

I've scouted Matko Matevz during a friendly match in March 2020 when Slovenia U19 played in Graz against Austria U19 National Team: it was a really strong match that Slovenia U19 lost in the last minutes with a goal scored by Julian Turi. Matko Matevz played as right fullback in a classic 4-3-3 module and it seems that this kind of module is simply perfect for his attributes and qualities on the field. He loves to have space in front of himself and with 3 midfielder at center all the right side could be free for his movement. Off the Ball Matko Matevz is a really well positioned player on the pitch: he has really good in defensive skills and he's really good also in headings (he's not so tall, but as well to dominate his opponents). Where Matko seems great is on his sense of position on defensive line: he's simply perfect in every situation expecially when he needs to run back for defensive transition and he closes in a fantastic way on defensive diagonal movement. Thanks to these attributes he could be considered quite a leader in his defensive line and he's not only a "run back and saves goals" player but he would like to restart immediately for the offensive phase to take in counterattack his opponents. It could be strange, but Matko is not so strong in tackles because of his physics skills (and we go in deep about that in the specific section). On The Ball When Matko Matevz is on the ball you could consider it to give him the ball and expect he's going to do the right thing. It doesn't matter he's a defensive player and he's just 18 yrs old: thanks to his personality he could be able to approach and win 1-to-1 situation and find out good cross inside area from the right side to find out his attackers with a good precision. Another interesting attribute of Matevz is his long passages: when he decides to change game on the other side of the field or try to find out his team mates on the same side or in the center he usually results precise and he loses the ball really rarely. Physics On his physics probably Matevz could be a little weak than the standard of great right fullbacks in 2020: he's quite high (180 cm is a good height) but it's quite slim and this attribute could make him a little weaker against his opponents expecially if they are really muscular: that's why when he defends he could be quite weak in tackles. But when you look at him in running you could find out a player that has great condition, he's really dynamic on the field and he's also quite faster than other players (the right side of the medal of weight) and makes him good in offensive and defensive scenarios.
