Part of understanding what motivates a team goes back to my mantra of being more interested than interesting. To get the best out of people, we need to put ourselves into their shoes so we can tap into what drives and inspires them... this is especially valuable when a person is struggling with their role or a project. Of course, the deal is that everyone needs to care about what they are doing, be committed, work hard, and dig deep! 😊 Empathic leadership is not just about nurturing individual team members.
