EVENT 007: NORTHKNOT PRIDE
The purpose of Northknot has always been to provide shelter from persecution for the supernatural. It was designed to be a place designed for acceptance - even if that has not always been the case. Northknot has been celebrating pride annually since Stonewall and the town goes all out. The crosswalks are repainted, bunting is hung, decorations cover the town for the whole month. It’s as if the whole place has been splashed with colour and it is a day of celebration for all members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Everybody’s favourite part is pride is the week-long festival. There is food from all over the world, stalls to support small businesses, games where you can win prizes, carnival rides and, of course, the parade. The main event that wraps up the week and ends with a bang - colourful fireworks that light up the whole sky. It’s an event that everyone looks forward to all year round !!
This event will go from 12th of June 12 noon GMT until 26th of June at the same time. The festival is a week long event RP time with the parade being one day. In real time, the parade will begin on the 19th of June with a post on the main to let you know it’s begun. Starter memes will be posted at the start of the event.
