Wow! #Repost @osramba_media ・・・ A beautiful shot of #nkynkyiminstallation in the rain taken by @mmanuellanelson 3 days before installing at the Kwame Nkrumah Park to debut in #Fauxreedom exhibitions. It was as if the ancestors were weeping in anticipation of the painful journey ahead. In my studio where I created these sculptures for @ancestorproject they were revered and 'treated with so much love. I told my assistants and volunteers @nii_kwarteiquartey @allosculpt @efoselaart (please visit www.ancestorprojectgh.com for full credit) as well as my studio visitors who these people were and they also accorded with the due respect and admiration. At the Kwame Nkrumah Park they are facing a new kind of admiration in the form of touching probing and countless selfies that I can imagine they feel like they are in a human zoo. Interesting to note that elderly Ghanaians got the symbolism right way without any need for explanation but the ancestors are having a hard time relating to the youth of this generation. But there is hope because this generation is so curious. I spoke to so many art lovers of all races who related to the installation's questions for humanity. Please support us via https://www.patreon.com/Nkyinkyim #ancestorproject
