welcome to the first nemean lion awards show, hosted by our very own eli, charla and evian. this will take place on monday 4/20 at 6pm pst,  and like any classic award show this is a black tie event so make sure to dress to impress ! this will take place in the event hall and has been decorated by thorn to perfectly match the occasion. we hope to see you all there !

this will go on from 4/20, 6pm - 4/30, 11:59pm  ( pst ) like any good nemean event, this one will have a twist but it’ll be revealed later into the event so make sure to keep an eye out ! if you post any starters or outfits for your characters, make sure to tag it nl;event005 so we can all see and enjoy it !

                 the event hall is decorated beautifully as a standard award show would be designed.  the lights dim.  a spotlight shines on eli, evian and charla as they walk onto the stage and to the mics at the center.                  eli smiles to the audience before announcing,   ❝ losers and weirdos !! are you ready to RUUUMBLEEE ?? too bad, because this is an award show . tonight we will be presenting you the first EVER neamies !! ❞                 evian follows next,     ❝ and guess what? everyone gets an award! you get an award, you get an award, even the dude standing in the corner there, you get an award!!!  ❞                charla is last as she reads from her cue card in a robotic tone,     ❝ so sit back and relax because there are a lot of them.  smile. ❞    she didn’t smile as she was just here to read the meaner awards.

things in nemean have gradually calmed down as everyone is getting accustomed to their new lives in california.  as a thank you, lou has decided to reward all the members and staff with a full expense trip to the  monarch beach resort  so everyone can have a small vacation.  she also announced that she has updates and new developments to share with everyone and will do so at the banquet held during the end of the trip.

the event will start on  12:00am 6/7  and end at a later disclosed date.   we have subevents  ( particularly the murder mystery inspired one )  planned that can take longer or shorter than initially anticipated so we aren’t sure when it will end.  the main goal i want to focus on is for everyone in our rp not to be stressed about having to get on at certain times so i want to make sure they are spaced out well.

ROUND 3:  FACE YOUR FEARS

the next round was uneven so the twins brought in a random member back in and honey was the (un)lucky winner !

remember, this round is a very different.  before fighting, each contestant is put into a trance that forces them to re-live or live out their worst fear and they will think it is real.  whoever comes to terms with the fear first will snap out of their daze and have an upper hand against their opponent.   that being said, it is also possible for someone to never make it out of their dream state until they are properly knocked out or taken out of the ring.

as the after party commences, everyone is scattered around the dance hall discussing the winners or catching up with friends. however, this is nemean lion and there's always some sort of plan being devised under everyone's noses. suddenly, a random area of the room is selected and the others outside are taken to another location. those who weren't selected are taken into a void above the dance hall and they can only witness the room slowly turn into a maze of sorts.

❝ wassup and welcome to the tournies, ❞  kat announced, ❝ it's like the neamies but more fun. ❞  everyone looks higher to see where kat is, and she's seen above everyone else with nat in a void of their own. it turns out they began planning this event once they heard that astrid won ❛ wildest johnson, ❜ though, they weren't necessarily angry. it just didn't take much for the twins to go off and they'd never turn down an excuse to be chaotic. ❝ whoever was selected are going to compete with each other to go into this dream land filled with candy and wonder that we made, but it isn't going to be easy. the first round is a normal pvp. don't worry, we made sure not to suck charla into this so you guys don't have to worry about her. ❞  there was a booing heard from below as charla was stuck in the audience void.   ❝ the rest of the rounds are going to be a secret, good luck. ❞

all threads must be paused, however, you can create new ones if your character is not participating in the tournament and is in the audience void

first part of the maze:  1vs1/pvp. this was why we gave out the link to those who wanted to participate in the tournament so we could have an idea on who would win these battles. we advise you not to rp this out as writing action can get tedious, so it would be much better to headcanon everything that goes down and then write a summary with bullet points. this, of course, is optional and you don't have to post anything.  4/23 - 4/25

second part of the maze: 1vs1/pvp but make it spicy. those who make it to this round will lose the control they once had of their powers and must rely solely on their combat skills to defeat their opponent.  4/26 - 4/27

* with round 1 and 2,  there is an option for petitioning for the way the rounds go. everyone will have a day if they want to make a case for why their character might have actually lost or won that particular fight that's very circumstantial.  ultimately, we would decide in the end if you have a point since we don’t want the petitions to break the game.

third part of the maze:  those who make it to this far will have to face their biggest fears head on and they think everything is real. there are some exceptions like those who have trained specifically for this so they aren't effected by mind games, those with stronger or equally as strong magic as the twins, or those with nullification powers (however, they would have to be able to reach the twins and they're quite high in the air. this would also end the tournament in general).  so, get an idea of what it may be for your character(s) and you'll either write a standard self-para or a bullet version of what they have to go through as well as if they would give up or push on through.  remember to keep in mind of their ingenuity score. they'll also be fighting people while they see their fear, so whoever faces it first will have the upperhand. 4/28 - 4/30

the end of the maze: think candyland meets willy wonka meets cloudy with a chance of meatballs, where everything is edible and fun. 5/01 - 5/03 ;  during this time, the maze will undo and those in the audience will be released back into the after party.  the winning void will have a portal hear the concessions stand where the winners can come and go as they please so they can continue to speak with the other members.

what happens to the losers?  they're taken to the audience void.
