Our songwriter class of April 2016! At Jurong east national library, what an amazing group of talent of all ages! We are so proud of all the participants who managed to write some amazing songs in so many diverse genres and even languages ranging from English, mandarin and even a Spanish song! Local singer songwriter star @bevlynkhoo upcoming songwriter Travis Minjan and myself will be conducting a series of songwriting Programmes at Jurong regional library starting from 3rd April Sunday from 2pm to 430pm. It will be 8 sessions over the month and topics covered will include lyric and melody writing, music arrangement, ipad GarageBand and performing tips. The course is free and you need only to register with an email to [email protected] under the header Songwriter and your name, age and contact details. Alone in the room, he tapped out a rhythm on the familiar parchment skin of the drum. Fingers splayed and palms open as if in supplication, his wrists caught and returned echoing questions that thrummed, unanswered in the hollow of the drum. Over and over his fingers thudded out the same short rhythm, his eyes hollow and unseeing, his thoughts focussed on the dull, repetitive echoes instead of the questions beneath.
