Day after Dutch: fun and irreverent new #johnnydoodle chocolate of The Netherlands, on the day after #kingsday, not yet available in the US but poised to make marvelous mischief here too with direct-trade Ghana cacao and a direct attitude! ☼ Accessible flavors like milk chocolate topped with caramel fudge and brownie bits add to the party! 🌺 If you're wondering what King's Day is, it's the birthday celebration of the Dutch king, marked with parades, street fairs, and a carnival atmosphere, drenched in the national color of orange. 🍊 King Willem turned 50 yesterday, and was presented with a bust of himself made of 50 pounds of chocolate. Tonight he'll have dinner with 150 members of the public who have the same birthday, at the palace in Amsterdam. Why do I know this? In part because I'm a "Friend of the Dutch," as my kind invitations from the Consulate are addressed!
