On a post that was a reasonable "contact the people who maintain the bus stops or volunteer to clean up the trash" response to someone literally wanting to shut down bus service to the mall and a major shopping/business area because the stops had trash at them and they and the area looked "like the inner city".
(M is me, this was satisfying.)
I'm getting real tired of all the old white women complaining about how "oh the neighborhood has changed" and bullshit like above while simultaneously not doing a damn thing to help the neighborhood in any way. You think there's too much trash? Volunteer your ass like I've done in the past to help clean up. Get teenagers you know who need those community service hours to volunteer. Contact the property owners for where the trash is. Donate to places dedicated to that. You think there's too much section 8? Donate to organizations or volunteer with them to help these people get a leg up to get out of section 8. The economy is a shit show we're all just trying to survive. Be neighborly, help, and take pride in your community. Oh wait, the only pride you had in the community was white pride. Fuck off.
Section 8, by the way, is low income housing which people have to go through a long approval process to even get and is even harder to maintain because of course there are additional rules and regulations from the program that normal renters and homeowners don't get bothered by.
