this month marks one full year of knowing my sweet basics. can you believe that?
if you were to see us together you would think...
surely these women have known each other for 5 times longer than 1 year. look at them. they love each other so much and get along so well. you can tell they genuinely love each other and there is no waaay this kind of bond can be made in just 1 year.
and to that we would say hehehehe IT'S TRUE!!!
i think my thank you has to start with amber, my best friend from preschool to 7th grade / pen pal through high school, who made a very bright decision to be friends with leah. years later, leah went on a limb and decided to meet me for a drink [i stalked her on tumblr. true story] to celebrate our birthdays and brought along some super special girls. that night at calavera sealed some lifelong friendships and to that we will never be the same. i'm not being dramatic, you are.
at our one year mark [of many] i have to say that each one of you has brought something to my life. i moved back from new york to friends who had their own lives, their own busy schedules and were kind enough to fit in some after work drinks or weekend shopping. and to them, i am so grateful. those friends kept me from watching dvr every weekday and weekend and kept me social / sane. but i still felt like maybe something was missing...
what i found is this:

bbb our gentle motivator who teaches us about the the hard times and the raise the roof moments in life that she handles with straight up class and true to her name, grace.
from the moment we locked eyes, and i mean literally.locked.eyes bbc and i have been on the same page about erythang. movies? check. books? check. design? check. diy? check. food? CHECK. need i continue? she's my one and only meatball.
bbs, she's just so damn elegant. everything she does is with style and poise. she is a brilliant writer and sends us little pieces of real life fiction that screams TRUTH to the seven billionth degree!
bbjg our super sleuth. like super, super, super sleuth. who is equally kindhearted. she's the tenderheart care bear that would do anything for you. no questions asked.
bbvo our baby, but she's not one to be put in a corner! i wouldn't let those beautiful doe eyes, lined with THE LONGEST eyelashes ever, fool you. she's a tough cookie and loyal as they come.
bbk she's our newbie, but you would never know. she brings wit and a great sense of humor. her baking is what i'm talkin bout and she showered us with all of the pepperidge farm creations this summer. i mean... come.on. how nice is she?!
