Information reaching us at NaijaOnlineTV reveals that, notable politicians, corporate organizations, leading entrepreneurs, Royal fathers and others are set to storm the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award(NMNA) 2016, which will take place at Time square event arena, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, on the 25th of September, 2016, by 3pm.
Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award(NMNA), is an award of excellence which recognizes the outstanding achievements and efforts of individuals and organisations who through a combination of personal qualities and exceptional skills, have made a significant contribution throughout their careers to the noble media profession and also achieved results that reflect the priorities of journalism.
Also, we extend our recognition to individuals, organisations and governments who have positively impacted the media profession while demonstrating their key leadership competencies.
The award is open to individuals and organisations at all levels of the fourth estate of the realm.
It is pertinent to state that, NMNA award is non-monetary, and recipients will be announced during a ceremony to be held in their honour at Time square event arena, in Ikeja.
A selection committee is responsible for managing the nomination process for these prestigious awards. Procedures for nomination and voting can be accessed at www.nigeriamedianiteoutaward.com.
In line with the objectives of NMNA and in consonance with its previous achievements and successes, some state governors, prominent politicians, who-is-who in the media profession, royal fathers, entrepreneurs, captains of industries and A-list socialites have pledged their unalloyed support for the 2016 edition of the grand award ceremony which also, is the 10th edition of arguably the most consistent media award ceremony in Nigeria.
The Theme of the 2016 award is; “Media, Technology and Change In Nigeria” Prominent among the awardees outside the media profession listed to be honoured on the night include, Governors of Gombe, Rivers, Kano, Ebonyi, Plateau, Lagos, and Osun states.
Others are, wife of Kogi state Governor and Akwa Ibom state’s Commissioner for Works.
Organisations like; Zenith Bank, Access Bank, UBA, First Bank GTBank, FCMB and Sifax group would also mount the podium majestically to be honoured on the night for their support and contributions to the success of the event in years past.
According to the chief host of the event, Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, given that the 2016 edition coincides with the 10th anniversary, it promises to be mile away from the norm.
The numbers of recipients have been increased with a view to have a larger participation and celebration, we have also up our ante in the areas of menu treat and entertainment, he said.

Nigeria Media-Nite out Award (NMNA) has unveiled nominees and categories for the 2016 award ceremony, which will hold on September 25, 2016, at Time Square event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
This was disclosed at a press conference to officially announce the anniversary. Founder of NMNA and chairman of Solkem Entertainment, Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, said the event had been the darling of many media practitioners, as it lends credibility to practitioners who are excelling in their several areas of concentration.
He noted, “The NMNA was conceived 10 years ago with a view to carrying media practitioners along as an appreciation of their hitherto unrecognized contribution to the development and emancipation of the Nigerian nation.
This, we believe, will further encourage and inspire our media practitioners to better their performances and work ethics”.
Managing Director of 24-7 Zinto Marketing Limited, Mr. Segun Adewale, said this year’s award would be exceptional, as it would, for the first time, cover a large spectrum of journalists in the electronic media as well as print.
He added that “the media has gone through thick and thin since independence and the least we can do is to continue to recognize the good work of media practitioners”.
He also noted that the categories of the award had been extended to 18, adding, “We are having more media partners both in electronic and print coming on board to ensure that we have a successful anniversary this year.
This year’s award will also have a lot of millage for our sponsors who have been with us for the past nine years. We ask you not to relent”.
Former Executive Director, Ojudu Local Government Area, Mr. Ahmed Moyosore Jaji, urged men of the press to put in their best in discharging their duties, as the fourth estate of the realm contributes a lot to the development of a nation.
Jaji commended the organizers of the event, saying, “I urge you not to relent on the good work; it is good that you have gone beyond Nigeria to involve a top South African Marketing firm”.
Regrettably, he said, the venue of the briefing reminded him of a top journalist, Mr. Dele Giwa, who was killed on the street years ago.
The categories for nomination includes Business Writer of the Year, Political Writer of the Year, Photo Journalist of the Year, Sports Writer of the Year, Editor of the Year (soft sell), Entertainment Writer of the Year, Crime Writer of the Year, Brand Writer of the Year, Best Radio Programme of the Year, Best Blog of the Year, On Air Personality of the Year (TV and Radio), Best Television Station of the Year among others.

The organizers of Nigerian Media Nite-Out Award (NMNA), led by top Entertainment and Events Consultant, Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, as unveiled the 2016 edition award plaque of the prestigious Nigerian top and foremost media award par excellence, to celebrate the event’s 10th year anniversary.
The unveiling ceremony was held recently, at Haricorn Properties Limited, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, in the presence of top Nigerian media personalities, movie celebrities and political dignitaries, among who were Mallam Moyo Jaji, Hon. Yemi Shodimu, an actor, producer, director and broadcaster, who worked at Ogun state government with the former Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, as his Special Adviser on entertainment.
Also present at the unveiling was movie actor, Hakeem Rahman among other entertainment celebrities.
The unveiling was done in the presence of various media outlets, which include the print, electronic and digital media platforms.
The 2016 edition of the award is set to hold in September, while top Nigerian comedian Okey Bakassi has been booked to anchor the event.
NaijaOnlineTV, observed that the 2016 NMNA plaque is uniquely different in regards to other plaques been used at the awards in time past.
Part of the activities of the unveiling also was the release of the 2016 nominees of the award.
