Anubias Bateri Var Nana | Aquarium Plant | Anubias | NMS Aquatics
A fleshy stem-like piece of the plant where the roots come out at the bottom leaves the leaves out of the top. Short plant with broad leaves. Great for beginners (durable & adaptable). Control nitrate levels, remove pollutants, and oxygenate the water.
Origin: Araceae Anubias nana (Anubias barteri var. nana) is a variety of the freshwater plant species Anubias barteri, from the Araceae family. The most common name is also sometimes referred to as dwarf Anubias. Native to Africa (Cameroon and Nigeria). Its hardy nature means it can be kept in a variety of conditions.
Care Level: Easy The water is warm and slightly acidic. Regular water changes (every couple of weeks) will control nitrate levels. These slow growers need constant fertilizing and CO2 supplements to help them stay healthy and in shape. Trim back all dead or almost dead-looking leaves very close to the rhizome (stem).
Height: 2.5- 7.5 inches They are a very sturdy plant with a thick, dark green stem. The maximum height is around 7.5 inches, but the size can vary depending on the conditions of the tank. Their so short they mainly cover the lower levels. Each stem is planted into the substrate and they don’t tend to be floated on the surface. The leaves are dark green and branch off from the stem to take the classic teardrop form found on many plants.
