So! Little miss Yuriko here is from @powwuten and I's YuruYuri fanwork/fanproject, Nanamori Exile! (NNEX for short) There are alot of things in it but all YOU gotta know for this post is that it takes place 8 years after the current Yuru Yuri timeline.
...There is also magical science that lets Yuriko exist with two biological mothers! isn't that so cool!! You have Nishigaki Nana to thank for that!! You also kinda have her to thank for most things bad in NNEX so uh yeah.
So! After "creating" this child.. the thinks to herself... "Wait a minute, I'm in no position to be raising a child!!" and eventually Himawari and Sakurako adopt her.
Side note: I originally wanted Yuriko to be a straight-up child of Sakurako and Himawari, but in order for Yuriko to be the age I wanted her to be (6), they would've had to have her only 2 years after the exile, they would only be 15! I was like, well! that's a bit problematic!!! Then I realized, not only are Nishigaki and Azuma a cute couple, they also kind of look like Sakurako and Himawari! at least genetically!
A running joke I'd like to include is everybody being surprised that yuriko isn't SakuHima's biological kid, I think it could lead to some fun stuff (Akari, our protaganist, would be VERY confused!)
So yeah! That's Yuriko! I hope you liked my drawing, I'm not the best at it, but I hope that I'll get better with time!!!
