Thai Nouns Are Great

Today I learned that nouns in Thai are uninflected and have no gender. No declensions, nothing like that.  

And if you want to make it plural, you just say it twice! Ingenious. 

So dek = a child, while dek dek = children.

You remember that bit with RamKing and the twins? I thought King was being cute with his dek dek, when it’s not a diminutive, it was a pluralization!

Mind blown. 

You know what else is cool? 

Also they don’t have articles. Isn’t that great? Stupid tiny excess words.

I hate the articles that pop up as soon as you open Google on your phone. I know what I want to Google, I repeat it as I look for the app, I click on the app, "These shops have recalled these items" Do I have any of those items? No, okay, right back to Google... what was I going to search?

Fifth City

So did I. She challenged back, this time stipulating in addition no articles and no letter 's' . It also shouldn't rhyme. This is the result. It kinda wasn’t fair since my grasp of what constitutes an English article is slim at best. But I think I got it.
