Metal leafing - an art form for those who don’t need to breathe.
I need to Lichen on!
This was the most unique sight of the trip and possibly of my life: a restroom with a much longer line on the men's side than the women's. And I've been to fire island, but admittedly not in the height of the season.

A somewhat longer and broader nature fix.

If this isn't something all lichen lovers need to read I don't know what is. Seriously it's name means "how odd." I would have pasted the whole thing here but I don't know how to do that. http://gaiapress.horiba.com/en/exploration/09.html I tumbled on this while looking up whether crows can see colors. Apparently they see one more than we do. When I shared this with my dear husband at dinner last night he asked what the color was and I said it doesn't have a name because we can't see it and he was peeved. How can we name something we can't perceive? If we can name it I suggest quis but am open to other suggestions. Lichen on!
