i just think it’s kinda funny now even if Henry doesn’t romance Hans you still get lines like “you’ve never let me down” and “anything for you, my lord” and Hans still gives henry a love letter he wrote himself by hand and henry still says unprompted and for no reason to some random blacksmith he will never see again “i have my lord, that’s all i need”. NO ROMANCE and henry still storms a fortress where he passes up a small chance to kill the man who destroyed his village and killed his parents because Hans needs rescuing. NO ROMANCE and Hans steals the MARGRAVE’S FAMOUS BOW and gives it to henry because he thinks Henry deserves it more. NO ROMANCE and Hans tells Henry he will literally die if anything happens to him. if you don’t pursue any romance at all in this game and don’t flirt with Hans a single time and don’t do any of the optional dialogue or his little side hunt mission thing, even without any of that this is still the most insane and deep and sweet and life changing (on both their parts) and ROMANTIC relationship they’ve ever had and might ever have
