I am already working on one AU in fic form with another AU to the side eating my brain slowly like a parasite. So why, oh why, does my silly hobbit hole of a peanut brain not want to shut up about accidental psychopomp Ingo,,,, anyway! I don't even know what I'm doing anymore except Ingo and ghost types vibing so have at thee I guess ansksksnx
thoughts under the cut:
- the idea came to me in a dream where Ingo, Giratina, and a random ass froslass were playing uno (the froslass won, please dont ask me to elaborate i barely remember the dream)
- ingo has his normal team in unova but in hisui theyre all ghost types he made friends with. (They're not in pokeballs)
- humans are generally all types at once with some types being more but sometimes when children are born, they get some freaky abilities if they have a strong enough connection to a type. (Ingo is ghost and emmet is a complete balance of all types)
- ghost type humans are extremely rare and are seen over by Giratina, Yveltal, and to some extent Arceus. Although its mostly Giratina.
- Giratina loves their ghost type humans and gives them boons
- ingo can talk to ghosts, both pokemon and people
- contrary to popular belief, the distortion world is actually pretty nice, so long as you're a ghost type that is (emmet did not enjoy going)
- ingo since he was young was instinctively doing his job as a psychopomp whenever he sees a ghost/spirit by sitting and chatting with them until they feel comfortable to move on (afterlife? Ghost pokemon? Honestly whatever they chose)
- ingo is capable of using pokemon moves that ghost types lend him (for example, chandelure lends ingo the use of Will-o-wisp) and it appears as a ghostly ball of ghost fire around him. Once used, the fire extinguishes. His limit is 9.
(Note: ingo can only do this with pokemon he is particularly close to)
- ingo knows his duty as a psychopomp and takes it very seriously as an adult. He still works at gear station as a subway boss, he just has an extra thing he does at night. Calls it the "ghost train"
- ingo used to be a very sickly kid. Emmet was scared he would lose ingo (oops-)
- Arceus was the one to send Ingo to hisui with a mission (and for once, Arceus didnt do it without permission! They did, however, wait for the very last second to do it)
- emmet would have punched god, if said god was not his own patron. Thankfully he didnt have to because god sends him too.
- unfortunately, emmet does not end up in hisui because they can't send two people to the same place and the same time during that period because of the time-space distortions. Oops.
- ingo does get some amnesia! He remembers the important stuff, mainly his name, emmet, their family, and battling (unfortunately, Ingo’s in the icelands with a weak body and forgot his original mission oops-)
- chandelure threatened god and won. She goes where ingo goes bitch.
- theres an ongoing debate between the diamond and pearl clans if ingo is a zoroark or a typhlosion. Ingo thinks its funny. When asked, he says hes a different ghost type every time.
- akari still gets sent back in time with her objective to complete the pokedex because that was always supposed to happen. The space-time distortions are new. Oops.
I'm naming this au the ghost parade au because I can absolutely see Ingo walking the highlands being trailed by hundreds of ghosts
