[ID copied in alt text: A colored drawing of sticky sitting in a grassy flowery field, he has ants crawling on his legs, and bees, ladybugs and butterflies flying around him, but he’s terrified he’s cowering. he’s shaking, and one of his eyes is closed. He’s covering his head and gently shooting them away with one hand the hand that’s outstretched a butterfly is trying to land on. He’s saying “No please go, please go away.” he is colored in greens and blues and there is a bright yellow light coming from behind him. That’s washing out all of his edges.]

“Luke!”
He looked around when he heard her voice, sweat beading on his forehead from the twin suns.
“Be a dear and make certain that antenna on vaporator three is secure would you?”
“You got it, Aunt Beru!” he called back, raising his hand and twisting it slightly at the offending antenna.
Nothing.
Luke blinked and stared at his hand—-at his real hand. It wasn’t prosthetic. There was the scar from where Biggs’ pet skalar lizard bit him when he was six.
What was this?
He tried again and still nothing. The Force was not responding to him. In fact, he couldn’t feel it at all.
No. 4: “Don’t be scared, I’ve done this before.”
Non-Human Whumper | Iron Rod | Loss of Powers
Usually when Villain encountered Hero it was a spectacle, a battle in the middle of downtown filled with showmanship and witty banter. They did not expect their next encounter to be at their apartment on a quiet, rainy night.
Hearing some frantic knocking at the door, Villain put down the book they were reading and answered the door, surprised to find Hero, bloodied and bruised, looking like they could collapse at any moment.
"Hero?"
"Do you...do you mind if I come in?" Hero half attempted a smile, but their eyes were filled with tears.
Quickly Villain whisked them inside, doing their best to hide their shock at seeing Hero like this. Gifted with super strength and invulnerability, now... this.
"What-?"
"Supervillain." Hero winced as they pulled down the edge of their costume to reveal a power suppression collar clamped around their neck.
"Ah. So that explains why you're... normal."
"Yep, that's me now. Normal." Hero winced as they tried to sit down. "I figured if anyone knew how to deal with this, it would be you."
"You're not wrong," Villain mused, eying the contraption. "I'll see what I can do. Just, make yourself comfortable."
"I'll try," Hero mumbled, easing themself onto a nearby couch.
Soon Villain returned with tools, as well as a glass of water and a container of painkillers. "Now you may not be familiar with these," they shook the container. "But they'll help."
"You don't have to rub it in," Hero muttered, but didn't turn the bottle down.
"Only take 2," Villain instructed. "With the water. Taking more will only make you worse."
As Hero took the medication, Villain got to work trying to remove the collar. "So, did you get this way falling down some stairs?"
Hero snorted, then winced as they clutched their side. "Something like that. It's a gift from Supervillain, and every one of their henchman that I've locked up over the years. You can imagine it was a...pretty big gift."
"Hopefully there's a return policy."
"I guess that depends on you."
Villain sighed, keeping their eyes on their work. "Don't be scared, I've done this before."
"Oh really? Plenty of 5 star reviews, I'm sure."
"Let me remind you," Villain chided. "You're the one who sought me out."
Hero didn't reply as their breathing slowed, content to let Villain win this battle.
As they drifted off, the last sensations they had were the sound of a click, a loss of pressure around their neck, and a soft blanket draped around their aching body gently falling asleep.
