Andrew Thomas Lee Photographs All my Favorite Things
I'm writing a quickie post this Saturday morning. POST ON THE RUN. I'm heading out to scout some local Atlanta shops and eateries today, and in looking through all the beautiful websites out there, it reminded me how much I love food styling! The photo above was taken for the company I work for, Bella Cucina, by the amazing Andrew Thomas Lee. I was involved in putting together recipe cards where his photography was used, and fell in love [with the photography, not the photographer! Let's just be clear on that...]. This post is partly gushing on his work, and partly an ode to some of my favorite Atlanta eats.
Oh, the wonders of The Optimist. I'm always reminded of this shot when I think of this exceptional Ford Fry establishment. I was lucky enough to attend their friends and family opening, and got to sit at this table [the exact one above!] and watch as the chefs prepared all kinds of wonderful things. Those hush puppies are KILLER. But the photography work he did for this place is top notch.
I've had many a Dark n' Stormy from this establishment [Leon's does half price DnS on rainy or drizzle-y days! Shhh...]. I'm always a sucker for bar and cocktail photography.
And just for good measure, a bit more of the food photography Andy has done. I just love everything from No. 246 and their toasts [pictured above, left] and particularly their house-made ricotta is divine.
