Are there any muses you want to add, but aren't sure about?Oh, DEFINITELY. There’s a whole host of little-knowns that I’m into enough that I’d want to RP them. The main ones I’ve thought about have been Exodus, Gideon, and Zaladane. But as it is, my blogs don’t get a lot of attention, and I also think I’d find people’s lack of knowledge of Zaladane, and the fact she is quite likely a forgotten Magneto-child, very frustrating. It’s already super-frustrating that almost no Magnetos or Quicksilvers on tumblr know who the hell Fabian Cortez is when he was a pretty important enemy to them both during the 90s, I think it’d drive me nuts with Zala because the Magneto clan is such a huge THING in fandom and it’s like, Zalawho? So it would be the same thing it is now with a whole lot of people who are relevant to my muse’s canon passing me over because they don’t know this character from the comics. I’m not a “if you’ve only seen the movies you’re not a REAL fan” purist asshole, but it does get frustrating. My hesitancy with Gideon and Exodus is more that just I won’t give them enough love, and if I don’t give them love, no one else will, a blog has to be active to get activity. No one will know them either, of course, but they don’t have a special connection to a huge canon that lots of people play, so it’s not the same feeling of frustration at that. I’m also not totally sure I could make Exodus sufficiently different from Anne Marie at his core? Like their mannerisms and everything are totally different, but at heart they’re still black/white religious extremist mutant supremacists who have good intentions and fanatically follow Magneto. I also have whimsically entertained the notion of a blog for Madelyne Pryor but she’s got SO MANY ISSUES TO READ and I don’t know that I could capture her pathos correctly. An Emma Frost from her evil 1980s days is a cool concept, as is Selene, but I don’t think I’d actually enjoy writing them because they were so, well...evil. I mean, Fabian and Shaw are evil, but there’s also a humor to them that really wasn’t with Selene and 80s Emma. I like characters I can make fun of a little. I also think it would be hard to find interactions for them in which they’re not just trying to destroy the other character. A group blog for the Hellions has crossed my mind too but I feel like that would just be SO MUCH WORK, I mean that’s taking on EIGHT new characters, man.On the heroes side, I’ve thought about a Generation X era Monet but I don’t think I could write her correctly, her younger twin sisters but I don’t think I’d enjoy playing children and they don’t have much personality to go on, Gaia (a minor Gen X character), and Lifeguard (another X-Men) but I just don’t have enough inspo there to fuel a blog, I don’t think. One last one would be Kwannon, the Japanese woman who was body-swapped with Psylocke (aka why Psylocke is Asian now, she was originally a white woman) We know so little about her, I couldn’t help writing out a past for her, and then figuring out a canon-compliant way she could be alive, what she’d be doing now, etc. So if I ever do choose to make a blog for her, I’ve got those ideas saved and at the ready. I just...don’t think I will. I’ve really got enough guys going as it is, and they’re not even that active.
