i have flower with my character like what would the white lily symbolize to my male character? Also i have a girl character next to the boy what flower would symbolize her noble courgeous spirit and her inquisitive blunt side?
Most of the time flowers don’t really care about gender, regardless of what society wants to say. They don’t change meaning regardless of whether of man or a woman holds them. Neither does gender have an influence on the meaning when people stand next to each other. However, the relationship of the characters does more than often, as it can influence how the meaning of the flower is perceived. That being said, of course there are exceptions. There are always exceptions to everything.
Victorian
borage – bluntness, rudeness
edelweiss – noble courage, daring, courage, noble purity
lily (white) – purity, sweetness, purity and sweetness, virginity, majesty, it’s heaven to be with you, youth
mullein – take courage, good natured
poplar (black) – courage
protea – courage

White lilies are generally associated with funerals in western societies, however in China lilies (in general) are supposed to bring sons to a family (the rapid sequence of flowers is a symbol for childbearing). Which is why they are often given to women on their wedding days or birthdays. The name of the flower sounds like part of a saying that translates to “happy union for a hundred years”. So they are popular gifts for any occasion since lilies are believed to help people forget their troubles.
