Arwen gives a tender kiss beneath the mistletoe before smiling and handing him a gift wrapped in golden paper. The tag reads 'For the light of my heart and the love of my soul.' A happy and joyous holiday season to both you and Aragorn ♥️
How strongly did they feel. Elves, unending in their winding years, yet treasured each season like some coveted thing. Even with the crawling of winter would they rejoice merrily, welcoming the chill of snowfall as those golds of autumn waned. Snow licked the bare branches now, and dew clung greedily upon the jasmines buds, and the courtyard surrounding them glimmered cold with frost. Yes, even now, here in this biting, the children of Ilúvatar found cause to delight.
They shared their heart in many other matters just as earnestly, too: in their music and their poems, in their love that shook their bones.
Smiling, Aragorn reveled in that passion of hers. The swell of her lips met his in a tender kiss, and he was weak to not think that she tasted of berries. They were similarly tinged, too, as though she’d shyly fancied a taste from the hollies budding beside them. It made her seem all the fairer as the snowflakes fell. He cradled her hands in his own as he chased his lady’s tenderness, the feel of gold-foil now crinkling beneath his palm.
The Holidays– What a strange and mortal tradition. Of course she’d indulge in it, however, if but to shower him in love again.
…And again and again until his jaw would ache with it. Aragorn stifled a rumbling laugh, carding a hand through her hair so long and dark. They were flecked in fat flakes of snow, and her gaze, peeking through her lashes, paled the twinkling ice that now coated the fountain. It was such a dreamy scene. So ideal. “You had already given me that which I had only dreamt of, Arwen,” he murmured charmingly. The embroidered satchel remained under wraps, though he’d known it bore upon it the star of the Dúnedain; it much touched him, yes, but had she not already offered her heart? Oh, and ever grateful was he for it– “And it would be more than enough,” he breathed.
