i really hate how excluded black people are from the southern gothic community as if they aren't the literal backbone and root of it

when I see white centered southern gothic aesthetic being spread around it feels so dull and tone deaf in CERTAIN (emphasis on CERTAIN) instances

ive seen non black people in general romanticizing literal plantation grounds for Christ's sake

black southern people are celebrating a culture that they cultivated and had to build from scratch after having everything stripped from them

and the way that there's not ever a singular black person in yalls lil posts pisses me off sometimes

Not saying you have to but why would that really be? And yes it is that deep don't come for me on some bs especially if you aren't black
