In regards to the most recent ask, just wanted to say to any writers struggling with beginning a story, you don't HAVE to start with the beginning. If you have any scenes or chapters or whatever in mind, just write them! Writing isn't linear, you can go back and write the beginning later.

This was something extremely important to me as a 4th grader writing my first novels. Twilight was what inspired me to write (my first ever novel was basically a Twilight/Percy Jackson hybrid ripoff with werebears instead of werewolves and demigods instead of vampires. Yeah.) so I really looked up to Stephenie Meyer (and I still do! But that's a different story for a different day.) and on her website, one of the things she had down as writing advice was something like this. She said as long as you have an outline, however rough it may be, you don't need to write everything in order, especially not in the first draft. Eventually you need to make sure everything makes sense chronologically, but initially, write whatever you want to.
